Sprawling across  the east shore of Lake Washington, this city was once considered to be not much more than a suburb of Seattle. Bellevue is now the second-largest city center  in the state. With a vibrant high-rise downtown core, this city has far surpassed its strip-mall origins. Incorporated as a city in 1953, Bellevue is young but has really hit its stride as a mecca for the high-tech community with 35,000 employees.  Home to Expedia.com, PACCAR (they make trucks and heavy equipment) , Sucker Punch Productions (video games for Sony ) and T-Mobile.

Bellevue also provides you with lots of great places to spend any  paychecks you may receive  from those world-class companies. If you like to shop, Bellevue is the place for you. From Tiffanies, to Crate and Barrel, Neiman Marcus and Louis Vuitton. And your feet are sure to look just as stylish after you visit Jimmy Choo and Salvatore Ferragamo for timeless classics that you happen to wear on your feet.

Bellevue's other claim to fame is its public school system. Many Puget Sound residents are drawn to Bellevue not just for its job market, but also to take advantage of the superior schools. The district has consistently scored well in testing and is known for its emphasis on an Advanced Placement Curriculum.
